Standards

This site is designed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as its target, meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and aligns with the requirements of the German Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and the EU Accessibility Act (EAA).

Scope

This statement covers the cordata.tech website — marketing pages, blog, and contact form. Cordata's consulting services are provided under B2B contracts and are largely outside the strict scope of the BFSG, which primarily applies to business-to-consumer e-commerce, banking, transport, and telecommunications. We align with its principles voluntarily — accessibility is good engineering.

What we have done

Sufficient colour contrast for body and secondary text in both light and dark themes; semantic HTML landmarks (main, nav, footer) and a skip-to-content link; visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements; form fields with associated labels and autocomplete hints; decorative icons and emoji marked as such for screen readers; foreign-language proper nouns (e.g. Hungarian legal terms in the Legal Notice) wrapped with the correct lang attribute so speech synthesis stays natural; and full support for prefers-reduced-motion — all non-essential animation is disabled when the operating system requests it.

Assessment method

Assessment is ongoing and self-conducted. Every change is reviewed with Lighthouse and axe DevTools; interactive elements are tested via keyboard-only navigation; screen-reader output is spot-checked with macOS VoiceOver. We have not commissioned an external audit.

Compatibility

The site is tested against current versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari on macOS, and Chrome on Android. Screen-reader spot-checks use VoiceOver on macOS and iOS. If you experience an issue with a browser or assistive technology we have not tested, please let us know.

Known limitations

We have not (yet) commissioned an external accessibility audit. If you encounter any content that does not meet WCAG 2.1 AA — for example a missing label, low contrast, or a feature that cannot be reached by keyboard — we treat that as a defect, not a feature request.
